Countdown to 2025: Most Popular
Counting down the most popular recipes of 2024 to ring in the new year!
Today’s theme is Most Popular recipes of 2024. It’s almost my favorite post of the year because I don’t know what will be on the list until I do the post. These are the most viewed recipes on my blog for the year and they can be from any year. I’m slowly working on getting all my old blog’s posts over here and I also post my meal plan recipes that are from my old blog here as they hit my meal plan. It’s always so interesting to me what is most viewed, so here we go!
Herbed Pizza Dough (2013) - I use this recipe more than any recipe I’ve blogged. It’s my fail-proof pizza dough recipe. I started with a base recipe and have tweaked it over the years to something that is perfect for my family’s tastes.
Unstuffed Banana Pepper Soup (2017) - If you asked my husband and oldest kid, they would probably say this is their favorite soup. It is a pretty solid soup recipe with this super delicious broiled layer of cheese and breadcrumbs. The soup itself is creamy and hearty.
Wendy’s Spicy Filet Chicken Sandwich (2010) - On my old blog, my copycat recipes are always the highest viewed - usually in the year and all-time. I’m not surprised there is a copycat recipe in the top viewed recipes for 2024.
Eddie’s Award Winning Chili (2019) - This chili has actually won a chili cookoff when I’ve made it, so I can attest that it truly is award winning.
Meat Lover’s Sheet Pan Pizza (2020) - One of our favorite pizzas to make because it’s loaded up with meat and sometimes it’s nice to use a sheet pan.
Man Dip (2010) - This is one of my earliest recipes that I blogged. I didn’t name the recipe, but the dip is a great appetizer. It’s got meat, lots and lots of cheesy goodness, and it’s just a tiny bit spicy.
Copycat Oklahoma Joe’s Baked Beans (2024) - This is the only 2024 recipe on my list and it really did surprise me. I’ve been trying out different baked bean recipes each 4th of July because I’m the only person who eats them in my family (and I think in my local extended family as well). At least when it’s a holiday, I can make a batch and not feel too bad about eating it for days.
Pete’s Scratch Pancakes with Pineapple (2010) - This is such a great pancake recipe with pineapple. I used to have pineapple in my pancakes when I was a kid, so I just had to do it.
Cincinnati Chili (2011) - Another copycat recipe but one that is a little more regional and unique, this is my MIL’s Skyline Chili copycat recipe. I have another on my blog that I think is a little closer to the real deal. HOWEVER, I liked my MIL’s version more. It’s still very very close, but I think this is the better recipe.
Steak ‘n Shake Fresco Patty Melts (2018) - And the last most viewed recipe of the year to round it all out is another copycat. This is one of my oldest’s favorite type of food and used to be his order at Steak ‘n Shake before our local one went out of business. Part of the reason why I love a copycat recipe is because you never know when you’ll have your last whatever because the restaurant closes (or becomes consistently not great anymore).
