Marlboro Man Sandwich

A hearty yet simple cube steak sandwich!

This is such a great way to utilize cube steak outside of chicken fried steak that is almost nearly like a French dip sandwich. Maybe it’s a rustic French dip sandwich :)

What you need:

  • 1 large onion

  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter + some to brown buns

  • 2 lbs. cube steak

  • Seasoning salt

  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce

  • Tabasco, to taste

  • 4 rolls

Directions:

    1. Slice onions and saute in 2 Tbsp. butter over medium-high heat until light brown and tender. Remove and set aside.

    2. Slice cube steak into strips against the grain and season with Lawry's.

    3. Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in the same skillet over high heat and add steak. Brown for about 1 minute on each side.

    4. Add Worcestershire, hot sauce, 2 Tbsp. butter, and cooked onions. Stir to combine and reduce heat to low or medium low.

    5. Butter rolls and brown in a separate skillet.

    6. Top one side of roll with steak and onion mixture and then add the top bun on that!
