Spicy Steak Ramen
Make a packet of ramen into a hearty, delicious meal!
We are a ramen-loving family and try to eat it at least once a month. That doesn’t seem frequent but it’s absolutely a lot for us. I figured all of us would like this one because we also love spicy foods and steak. So this really was a nice, quick way to create something out of a ramen package. We chose to do just broccoli, but you could also do mushrooms or asparagus - or any combo of the veggies.
What You Need:
1 lb. skirt steak (or preferred cut), cut into thin strips
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup hot sauce
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. minced onion
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 packages (3 oz each) ramen noodles, any flavor
Green onions, sliced
Optional: Steamed broccoli, mushrooms, and/or asparagus
Directions:
Discard the ramen noodle flavor packets. Cook your ramen noodles in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add steak strips and cook until starting to brown.
Add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, onion, garlic, and brown sugar to steak. Mix and reduce heat to a simmer for 5 minutes.
Add cooked, drained noodles to the skillet and toss to coat. If you want to add veggies, add them here as well!
Serve sprinkled with green onions!
