Spicy Hummus Queso Dip
A simple but incredible queso dip with spicy hummus for some great depth of flavor!
Hummus is a newish food to us. A few years ago, I tried it because why not and I really liked it. My daughter was quick to try it and after a little bit of convincing, I got Nick to try it, too. I knew I had to make this recipe for New Year’s Eve (yes, I’m beyond behind on posting these - this is from NYE 2020). The spicy hummus was so dang fantastic and I would love to make this with different variations of hummus and mix-ins. Possibly even different cheeses! The sky is the limit here. We did carrots and celery sticks - but I could see pita chips being great with this too.
What You Need:
1/2 cup Sabra Supremely Spicy Hummus
1/2 cup milk
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
For serving: cilantro, chips, and/or vegetables
Directions:
In a small pot, whisk together hummus and milk and bring to a boil over high heat.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese by the handful until melted and fully incorporated.
Stir in tomato and serve immediately with cilantro, chips, and/or vegetables.
