Peppermint Crumble Bars
Only 5 ingredients for this peppermint treat just in time for the holidays!
I was really surprised when I went to make this recipe that it only took 5 ingredients. I truly expected a large list. If you are unable to find Andes white chocolate peppermint candy, you can make a mixture of white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes. Or you can do white chocolate peppermint Ghirardelli candy squares and crushed candy canes, which is what I ended up doing. It’s a fantastic recipe - especially with only 5 ingredients!
What you need:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups white chocolate peppermint candy (like Andes peppermint bits or a mixture of white chocolate chips and crushed candy canes, etc)
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
Directions:
Using a pastry cutter or fork, cut flour, butter, and sugar together until crumbly.
Press a little more than half into a 9x13-inch pan that has been lined with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, mix 1 cup white chocolate peppermint candy with sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
Pour on top of the crumb crust and then sprinkle with the remaining crumble mixture and peppermint candy.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
Let cool completely before cutting.
