Spicy Sriracha Chex Mix
A spicy snack mix that is perfect for watching football on the weekend or before a big holiday meal to hold you over!
Chex mix is a staple once fall hits and we start getting closer to the fall and winter holidays. And like any other type of food that either myself or my husband grew up eating, I probably have at least a dozen different recipes saved to try because a girl loves some variation. I thought this one would be a hit and it was really great. I think my husband was probably the happiest with it because the rest of us all had at least one thing we picked out (for me, it’s Cheez-its), so it was truly a perfect mix of snacks for him.
What You Need:
For the Mix:
2 cups pretzels
2 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 cups almonds, roughly chopped
2 cups Goldfish cheddar crackers
2 cups oyster crackers
2 cups Cheez-its cheese crackers
For the Sauce:
6 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup sriracha
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix together pretzels, cereal, almonds, and all three types of crackers.
Melt butter in a microwaves safe bowl or in a small saucepan. Add remaining sauce ingredients and stir to combine.
Pour sauce over the snack mix and stir until well coated.
Spread onto a parchment paper or silicone mat lined baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven for 45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.
Allow to cool completely and store in an airtight container.
