Garlic Overload Burgers
For all the garlic lovers, this burger is for you - stuffed with garlic cream cheese and topped with a creamy garlic sauce!
Hello, hello. I’m sure I’ll be working on posting old recipes for a while, but I have posted at least 5 of them so far, if you’re interested. I would love to redo pictures on some of them and others I have already redone the pictures. As I post, I’ll be working to update the Recipe Index page. In other news, today’s recipe is for all the garlic fans out there. I personally love garlic and really enjoyed this burger that is loaded with garlic. The inside has a garlic cream cheese filling and there is a creamy garlic sauce to top it.
What you need:
For the cream cheese mixture:
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. minced garlic cloves
1 tsp. Italian herbs
For the burgers:
2 lb. ground beef
6 tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices Provolone cheese
4 Brioche buns
For the creamy garlic sauce:
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp. minced garlic cloves
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups heavy cream
1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Directions:
For the cream cheese mixture: Combine cream cheese, garlic, and Italian herbs. Mix well and divide into 4 portions
For the burgers: In a large bowl, combined ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Divide burger into 8 equal portions and form them into patties about 1/4-inch thick.
On 4 of the patties, add a portion of the cream cheese mixture.
On top of each of those patties, top with a plain patty. Gently press together to form a larger burger.
Grill or cook as desired. When almost done, add a slice of provolone on each and allow to melt.
For the creamy garlic sauce: While burgers are cooking, boil 1/4 cup water in a medium saucepan.
Stir in minced garlic and garlic powder. Boil until water has almost evaporated, about 5 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream, parsley, salt, and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 1/4 cup water until well combined. Then add to saucepan.
Continue to boil, while stirring, until it thickens, about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat.
For assembly: Place burgers on brioche buns and spoon creamy garlic sauce on top.
